Message from Friends and Family

To the family: I was so sorry to hear about Walt. I worked with him during his tenure at Caterpillar. "Wally" was always fun to work with. What a great guy! After his retirement, I always looked forward to seeing him out and about because I knew he would make me laugh. He will truly be missed. May peace be with you during this time... - Jayne Kilgarriff

Sorry for the passing of your Father. Walt was a great friend and coworker. We have so many memories of good times and laughter. - Charlie and Sharon Land

Walt was a great guy. I worked with him for many years at CAT. He will be greatly missed. My prayers go out to the family. - Shelly Camfield

I worked with Walt in Releasing at Caterpillar and he was instumental in continuing my trainging on the job. Walt was caring, ever friendly and truly became my friend. Nothing could hold that guy down nor his sense of fun! Walt moved just one street over from me I did not see much the last couple years even though he lived so close, I regret that greatly. Walt had been trough so much and was so tough in spirit I never pictured him gone, his memory for me will never fade and I will miss him always. - Bill Munson

So long Uncle Wally ...You were a great uncle. God speed and we'll see you soon! I think it's awesome that you passed on the whole memorial services thing and decided on a Party instead...Sure wish I could be there...Robyn, Debbie and Ricci I'm so sorry guys. I know it hurts but I'll bet your old man is riding a Gold Wing(without a helmet) somewhere in the spirit world right now. I love you guys. - Michael Carpenter

To:Robyn,Debbie and Ricci Michael just sent me a Email about your Dad. I am so sorry. I was thinking the other day about all the times the two of us went tramping around the farm behind lady Bug trying to kick up some quail. You know, he did enjoy life and lived it to the fullest. Just wanted to let you all know our thoughts and prayers are with you. Knowing Wally, he's probably trying to figure out how to hang a bowling bag on his "Bike" to get to Heavens Lanes. - Mel Carpenter

Dear Family. I was very sorry to hear of the passing of Walter. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. You are in our prayers - Skip Perryman & Family,

Walt definitely lived life to the fullest. Whether he was bowling, drinking beer, riding motorcylces, or hanging out with friends he was having FUN. I worked with Walt for several years and learned a great deal from him about how to implement engineering changes in the shop. He will be remembered for his famous "signature" egg cassarole when we had food day! Sorry for your loss. - Bev Stenger

I lost one of my best friends. We had so many good times whether it was traveling to bowl or work and motorcycle riding. He will be truly missed. - Gene & Marsha Dunn

We won't be able to attend the memorial service today but want the family to know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. Wally was one of the best and nicest guys I ever bowled with. We will surely miss him, just a great guy.
- Rich and Candy Underwood

We wish to extend our deepest sympathy with the passing of Walt. May those fond memories of him provide comfort and strength each and every day. Walt was one of my closest friends. We worked and played together for so many years. There was never a dull moment around Walt. He was so full of life. He lived his life to the fullest without question. He's probably throwing strikes up on one of Heaven's bowling lanes right now. I will miss him a great deal as will many other people who knew him. His presence will never be forgotten. Rest in peace, my friend.
May God Bless!! - Terry & Mary Lou Boles
