Walter "Lazz" Lazzarini, Jr., 69 of Decatur passed away at 7:56 PM Friday, September 7, 2012 in ICU at Decatur Memorial Hospital.

He was born on May 31, 1943 in Chicago, IL the son of Walter and Marilyn (Lancaster) Lazzarini. He retired from Caterpillar and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He had a passion for motorcycles and bowling.

Surviving are his companion Brenda Reeves, faithful pal Maddie, daughters Robyn Lazzarini of Decatur and Debra (George) Yard of Taylorville, and a son Ricci Lazzarini of LaPlace, IL grandchildren Brandon (Erica) Estes, Jonathon, Matthew and Regan Yard of Taylorville, IL Samantha, Nicholas and Dezi Lazzarini of LaPlace, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

As per Mr. Lazzarini's request cremation rites have been accorded. There will be no visitation or memorial services. A party/celebration of his life was held from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM Saturday, September 29, 2012 at the Olde Bowl - 300 S. Spresser St. Taylorville, IL 62568.
