Shirley Ann Fleming

Mrs. Shirley Ann Fleming, 87, of Kincaid passed from this life at 6:12 P.M. Sunday, March 8, 2026, at Taylorville Memorial Hospital, ER.

She was born in Taylorville on Sunday, August 7, 1938, the daughter of Glen and Eleanor (Pounds) Christian.  Shirley married Charles W. “Chuck” Fleming July 28, 1956, in Taylorville, IL and he preceded her in death on November 22, 2011.

Shirley had worked at South Fork Grade School as a cook and was a member of the Methodist faith.  Mrs. Fleming loved gardening, fishing and spending time with her family, but she truly cherished the time she was able to spend with her grand babies.

Surviving are 3 sons Charles “Butch” (wife Rhonda) Fleming and Dan Fleming all of Kincaid, IL John (wife Melanie) Fleming of Auburn, GA., 8 grandchildren Heather Jones, Aaron Larson, Dan Fleming, Jr., Matthew and Zachary Fleming, Jacob, Gabriel and Gracie Fleming, 18 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, 2 nieces and several cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Chuck, a brother David Collins, 2 sisters Betty Brooks and Sharon Matthews and a grandson Ian Fleming.

Visitation will be held from 9am to 11 am on Thursday, March 12, 2026 at Masterson Funeral Home in Kincaid, IL.  A short prayer service will follow.  Burial will then take place next to her beloved husband of 55 years, Mr. Charles W. Fleming at the Walnut Hill Cemetery – West of Sharpsburg, Illinois.
