Mrs. Sharon Ann Summers, 78, of Jeisyville, IL was called home to her Lord with loving family by her side at 12:06 P.M. Wednesday, August 17, 2022 from her home.

She was born in Taylorville, IL on Thursday, May 4, 1944 the daughter of LeRoy and Emma (Castellani) Fesser.

Sharon graduated from Kincaid High School with the Class of 1962. She then obtained a degree in cosmetology.

The former Miss Sharon Fesser married James “Mike” Summers on November 30, 1963 in Kincaid, IL.

She was a faithful member of the Kincaid Church of God and was active in their Ladies Ministry, enjoyed making Tortellinis, and always thought of everyone else before thinking of herself. Sharon loved attending her grandchildren’s sporting events and liked going to garage sales and the Dollar Store. Mrs. Summers always encouraged and supported everyone. Sharon formerly worked as a hairdresser, then for the Kincaid Grade School and later at Sunkist Cleaners.

Surviving are her loving husband of 58 years James “Mike” Summers of Jeisyville, IL., 3 daughters Jamie (Summers) Oller and husband David of Kincaid, IL., Stacey (Summers) Hubert and husband Jeff of Tovey, IL., Gina (Summers) Basil and husband Jeff of Kincaid, IL., a son Shane Summers and wife Christy of Tovey, IL., grandchildren Megan (Oller) Elder and husband Nick, Brady Hubert, Kendra Carter, Morgan Summers, and Joseph Summers, great-grandchildren Olivia Elder and Declan Elder, a sister Sandy Kay Bandy and husband Paul of Jeisyville, IL., 5 sisters-in-law Deanna Dean, Paulette Tirey, Glenna Odam, Dottie Summers-Lovegrove and Cathy Yaun along with several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, her KCOG church family and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a granddaughter Hailey Leann Oller, a sister-in-law Phyllis Summers, and a brother-in-law Richard Tirey.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon Saturday, August 20, 2022 at the Kincaid Church of God – 120 Market St. Kincaid. Pastor Vance Massengill will officiate. Burial will follow in Edinburg Cemetery, Edinburg, IL.

Visitation for Mrs. Sharon Ann Summers will be held from 9:30 to 12 Noon on Saturday at the church.
