Sandra Kay (Pendleton) Elmore

Mrs. Sandra Kay “Sandy” Elmore, 85, of Kincaid passed from this life at 4:11 a.m. Monday, April 7, 2025, at home with family by her side.

She was born in Paris, Arkansas on May 8, 1939, the daughter of William “Wack” and Thelma (Jackson) Pendleton.

Sandra married Donald Elmore on August 23, 1957, in Springfield, IL and they enjoyed more than 67 years together.

Many years ago, Mrs. Elmore worked for Bunn-O-Matic and later, Franklin Life in Springfield.  She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Surviving are her husband Donald Elmore of Kincaid, IL, their children Linda K. Watt of Hardin, IL Mark and his wife Peggy Elmore of rural route Pawnee, IL, William John “Billy” and his wife Paula Elmore of Litchfield, IL Stacey Lynn husband Harry Thornton of Pawnee, IL grandchildren Michael J. Watt, Sarah Beth and husband Troy DiToro, Jake Elmore, Breanna Elmore, Cody Thornton, Shelby Thornton and her fiancée Connor Fiaush, 2 great-grandchildren Addi and Dax DiToro, a niece Jane Oller and a nephew John Pendleton.

She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers William and Jerry Pendleton.

Visitation for Mrs. Sandy Elmore will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 12 Noon on Friday, April 11, 2025, at Masterson Funeral Home in Kincaid.  Funeral services will immediately follow with Pastor Lindsey Young officiating.  Burial will then take place at Oak Hill Cemetery, Taylorville, IL.  Condolences may be left at mastersonfh.com for those unable to attend.
