Mr. Roy Allen Taylor, 88, of Kincaid, IL formerly of Anchor, IL passed away at 7:04 pm Tuesday, June 10, 2014 in Memorial Medical Center, Springfield, IL.

He was born in Foosland, IL December 15, 1925 the son of George W. and Sarah A. (Davis) Taylor. Roy married Virginia Brucker in Champaign, IL February 29, 1944.

Mr. Taylor was a member of St. Rita Catholic Church, Kincaid, IL Roy served in the US Navy during WWII. Mr. Taylor was a member of American Legion Davis Kerber Post #653 in Colfax, IL for more than 42 years. He owned and operated Taylor's Well Service which served a 75-mile radius of Anchor, IL for more than 40 years.

Surviving are his wife Virginia of Kincaid, IL 11 children Michael (Kathy) Taylor of Harper, TX Roger (Mary Ann) Taylor of Phoenix, AZ Jo (Ron) Louie of Hillsboro, OR Dr. Terry (Mary) Taylor of Bellaire, TX Jack (Holly) Taylor of Springfield, IL Kristine (Dan) Conway of Fairfax, VA Kathy Braun of Houston, TX Patricia (Loren) Taylor-Harriet of Woodland Hills, CA Julie (James) Loxterman of Painesville, OH Tracy (Julie) Taylor of Fairbury, IL Todd Taylor of Atlanta, IL 1 sister Helen Hardwick of CA along with 31 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sons Rick and Phillip Taylor a daughter Susan Wilson 3 brothers and 7 sisters.

Mass of Christian burial was held at 11:00 am Saturday, June 14, 2014 in St. Rita's Catholic Church, Kincaid, IL. Fr. Alan Hunter officiated. Burial with full military honors by Davis Kerber American Legion Post #653 of Colfax, IL was held at 3:00 pm Saturday in Wiley Cemetery, Colfax, IL Fr. Carl Lopresti officiated the committal. Visitation was held from 9 to 10:30 am Saturday at Masterson Funeral Home, Kincaid, IL
