Rosemary Lemanski

Ms. Rosemary Lemanski, 95, of Taylorville, IL passed from this life with family by her bedside, at 2:08 a.m. Wednesday, June 15, 2022, at Carriage Crossing Living Center, Taylorville, IL.

She was born in Taylorville, IL December 23, 1926 the daughter of John and Clara (Kolb) Lemanski.  She grew up in the Kincaid area.  Rosemary graduated from Kincaid High School in the Class of 1944.  She graduated from St. John’s School of Nursing in the Class of 1948. 

Ms. Lemanski worked her whole life in nursing, working at St. Vincent’s, St. Vincent Memorial, as a School Nurse for Taylorville School District, as a traveling nurse in the Vision and Hearing Department for the State of Illinois and at the Christian County T.B. Center in Taylorville.  She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Taylorville.  Rosemary also enjoyed needle point, cross stitching, and was an avid collector of Precious Moments and Stamps just to name a few of her collectables.

Surviving is her sister Margaret Lemanski of Taylorville, IL, 2 sisters-in-law Shirley Lemanski of Nokomis, IL and Margaret Lemanski of Springfield, IL along with several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and 4 brothers Frank, Donald, William and Robert Lemanski.

Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 20, 2022, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Taylorville, IL.  Monsignor David Lantz will officiate. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery, Taylorville, IL. Visitation for Ms. Rosemary Lemanski will be held from 9:30 a.m. until service time at 11:00 a.m. at St’ Mary’s, Taylorville.  Masterson Funeral Home in Kincaid is assisting her family with arrangements.  Condolences and memories may be shared at mastersonfh.com
