Mrs. Rita Ann (Clark) Henson, 73, of McAllen, Texas, formerly of Pawnee, Illinois, passed away Monday April 11, 2011 in McAllen Texas, on her fathers birthday.

Rita Ann was born July 11, 1937 in Taylorville, IL, the daughter of Vernon and Marcella Harris Clark. She was a graduate of Browns Business College and Retired from the Internal Revenue Service after more than 30 years of loyal service

She married Duane Henson September 5, 1959 at St Mary's Catholic Church in Pawnee, IL where she was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society. She was an active member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in McAllen, TX. She was a member and past President of the VFW auxiliary in Chatham, IL and member of the Moose Lodge in Taylorville, IL

Surviving are husband Duane, a very caring, loving spouse and best friend of 51years; daughter Marlene (Greg Howard) of Pawnee; son Michael (Teri) Henson of Fredericksburg, VA; daughter Mary (Scott) Dambacher of Divernon; son Matthew (Renee) Henson of Pawnee; daughter Monica Henson of Houston, TX; daughter Marcella (Donald) Farley of Riverton along with 9 grandchildren; Erica, Marissa, Larry, Miranda, Danielle, Mitchell, Dawson, Maxwell, and Mila and several nieces and nephews.

Her parents, two children, Theresa and Thomas and one brother Thomas Clark preceded her in death.

Memorial services were held at 11:00 a.m. Monday April 18, 2011 in Masterson Funeral Home at Kincaid. Deacon Ray Roth officiated and inurnment followed at Calvary Cemetery in Pawnee. Visitation was from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday April 17, in the funeral home.
