Rev. Alfred L. Moutrey, 76, of Bulpitt, IL formerly of the Du Quoin and Mt. Vernon, IL area, passed away at his home, Sunday, September 13, 2015.

Rev. Moutrey was born in Du Quoin, IL August 4, 1939 the son of Alfred L. and Gleda (Keigley) Moutrey. He married Jean Costante-Wenglarz on January 19, 1996 in Ottawa, Illinois and she survives.

Alfred owned and operated his own auto mechanic shop in Mt. Vernon, IL. He then worked as a truck driver for W. B. Motor Express in De Motte, IN. Later Alfred got the call from Jesus and he became a Pentecostal Minister and Bible Teacher, teaching in Taylorville, IL at Lighthouse Apostolic Church, also participating in churches in Springfield, Westmont and many other places around Illinois. At one time he served as a Sunday School Superintendent and he loved traveling for evangelical work.

Surviving are his wife Jean of Bulpitt, IL; 4 children Al (Caryn) Moutrey, Jr., of Florida, Lori (Randy) Stilley of Bluford, IL Olivia Moutrey of Mexico and Jonathon Moutrey of Mexico 4 step children Mary Jean (David) Ross of West Chicago, IL., Judith Murray of Lexington, IL., David and Joseph Wenglarz both of Bulpitt, IL a brother Richard (Patricia) Moutrey of Okeechobee, FL., 2 sisters Verlabee Sokol of Des Plaines, IL., and Betty Wright of Summerfield, FL (Betty has passed away) along with several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Jerry Moutrey formerly of Kentucky and a sister Emily Poteet formerly of Oklahoma.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, September 26, 2015 at Masterson Funeral Home Kincaid. The main officiants will be Reverends Eric and Jennifer Stillwell. Visitation for Rev. Moutrey will be held 2 hours prior to services at Masterson Funeral Home.
