Patricia A. Szabo, age 79, of Taylorville, passed away at 4:27 p.m. Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at Meadow Manor Skilled Nursing And Rehabilitation Center in Taylorville.

Patricia was born November 30, 1934, in Taylorville, the daughter of Philip and Ruth Eno Petty. She was a graduate of Taylorville High School. She worked at Sangamon, Inc. for many years, retiring about 1998. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Taylorville. She married Joseph Szabo on August 24, 1963. He preceded her in death on March 18, 2013.

Surviving are her son Mark Szabo of Taylorville; a daughter, Diane (Dan) Muhs and grandson Joey Muhs of Olney, IL; several nieces and nephews. Her parents; husband; and two brothers, Judge Phillip Petty and Patrick Petty, preceded her.

A family Funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Taylorville. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery.
