Mr. Norman W. Flowers, Sr, 81, of Kincaid, IL passed away at 4:48 P.M. Wednesday, January 14, 2015 in Taylorville Memorial Hospital.

He was born in Loami, IL February 9, 1933 the son of Clint and Ruth (Behl) Flowers. Norman married Loretta Bonds April 12, 1952 in Petersburg, IL and she survives.

Mr. Flowers was a member of Faith Community Worship Center, Taylorville, IL. He served in the U.S. Navy. Norman worked as a laborer and later in the Insurance industry. He loved fishing and hunting with his grandkids, , living on the farm, being outdoors and spending time with his family.

Surviving along with his wife Loretta of Kincaid are his 4 children Norman Flowers, Jr. of Athens, IL Georgia Hamilton of Auburn, IL April Flowers of Luray, MO and Clint (companion Mary Hashman) Flowers of Springfield, IL 1 sister Wilma Morris of Springfield, IL 2 brothers Clifton Flowers of Hillsboro, IL and Charles Flowers of Peoria, IL 43 grand and great grandchildren, several step brothers and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and 3 sisters.

Memorial services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, January 20, 2015 in the Kincaid Church of God. Jerry Thorpe will officiate with assistance from Rev. J. T. Kelly. Burial of ashes will follow in Sulpher Springs Cemetery, Loami, IL. Visitation for Mr. Flowers will be held from 9:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. at the church.
