Mrs. Loretta Flowers, 85, of Kincaid, IL passed away at 6:55 a.m. Friday, January 1, 2016 at home.

She was born in Carbondale, IL October 23, 1930 the daughter of Alonzo and Bessie (Jolly) Bonds. Loretta married Norman W. Flowers, Sr. April 12, 1952 in Petersburg, IL and he preceded her in death January 14, 2015.

Mrs. Flowers was a member of Faith Community Worship Center, Taylorville, IL. She worked at the former Holiday Inn East in Springfield, IL. Loretta enjoyed Crossword Puzzles, fishing and loved spending time with her family.

Surviving are 2 sons Norman Flowers, Jr of Athens, IL Clint (Companion Mary Hashman) Flowers of Springfield, IL 2 daughters Georgia Hamilton of Auburn, IL and April Flowers of Luray, MO along with 43 grand and great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Norman, Sr., 4 brothers and a sister.

A celebration of her life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, January 7, 2016 at the Kincaid Church of God. Rev. Jerry Thorpe will officiate assisted by Rev J. T. Kelly. Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 at the church the same day as her services. Burial will follow in Sulphur Springs Cemetery, Loami, IL. Her family is being served by Masterson Funeral Home in Kincaid, IL.
