Mrs. Ellen M. Wolfe, 82, of Bulpitt, IL passed away at 7:03 PM Tuesday, Jaunary 3, 2012 at home.

Mrs. Wolfe was born July 13, 1929 in Mannheim, Germany the daughter of Rolf and Margarethe (Werle) Ammann. She married Harry A. Wolfe on August 14, 1959 in Lima, Ohio. Harry preceded her in death on July 28, 1985.

Mrs. Wolfe, as she was affectionately known by her students, earned her teaching credentials at the University of Dayton. She taught for many years at South Fork High School. Ellen was an EMT and had been a volunteer Chief at Midland Fire Department. She was formerly a Girls Sports Coach and Boy Scout Troop Leader and was active in many other organizations over the years.

Surviving are a daughter Tanya Stevens of Taylorville, IL 2 sons Chuck Wolfe of Edinburg, IL., Martin and wife Annette (Townsley) Wolfe of Oregon, IL 7 grandchildren Shawn Stevens, Tamra Stevens, Philip Wolfe, Laci Wolfe, Robert Wolfe, Rachael Wolfe, Eric Wolfe, 4 great-grandchildren Ava Wolfe, Simon Stevens, Lillian Harper, and Raven Gatton.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Harry, brothers Eric Ammann, Hans Ammann and great-grandchidren Damien and Dalton.

No services will be held as per Ellens request. Her remains were donated to Washington University in St. Louis. Masterson Funeral Home in Kincaid is handling arrangements.
