Mrs. Debra Jean Basil, 60, of Jeisyville, IL passed from this life at 5:23 p.m. Sunday, April 4, 2021 at her home.

She was born in Taylorville, IL October 24, 1960 the daughter of David and Meda Ann (Owens) Durbin. Debra married Dale Wm. Basil September 10, 1988 at First Church of the Nazarene in Taylorville. Dale preceded her in death August 11, 2020.

Mrs. Basil was a proud mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Surviving are: a daughter Brehia Alaria of Tovey, IL a son Cody and his wife Madison Basil of Taylorville, IL 5 grandchildren Dean Ellis, Tessa and Emma Anderson, Chandler and Charlie Basil, 2 sisters Doris and husband Ronnie Lush, Sandy and husband Jeff Fahl and a brother David and wife Lisa Durbin along with several nieces, nephews and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Dale, and a daughter April Schmedeke Anderson

Visitation for Debbie Basil will be held from 11:00 am to 1:00 P.M. Friday, April 9, 2021 with services following at 1:00 P.M. at Masterson Funeral Home in Kincaid, IL. Burial will be in Thomas Anderson Cemetery, rural Palmer, IL.
