Mrs. Ada Marie Tanner, 60, of Tovey, IL passed away at 1:03 P.M. Sunday, May 22, at home surrounded by her loving family.

Ada was born in Taylorville, IL July 14, 1955 the daughter of Louis H. "Bo" and Mary E. (Bough) Taylor. She married Donald Tanner March 6, 1979 and he preceded her in death September 16, 1988.

She formerly worked as a bartender at Mary's Place, Y'All Come Back Saloon and HT's in the Midland Area. Ada also previously worked at local nursing homes, North Lanes, Angelo's and The Short Stop in Taylorville, IL. Mrs. Tanner loved shopping, gardening, traveling and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her companion of 26 years John Sebben of Tovey, IL 2 daughters Elaine Tanner of Tovey, IL Mindy K. Taylor of Taylorville, IL a son Travis (wife Megan) Tanner of Tovey, IL 3 step daughters Shannon (husband Ray) Melton of Edinburg, IL Jackie McClintock of Kincaid, IL and Heather Hudson of Taylorville, IL 4 sisters Cheryl (husband Dick) Peat of Tovey, IL Louise (husband John) Perozzo of Kincaid, IL Susan Wolfe of Jeisyville, IL Tammy (husband George) Wilson of Kincaid, IL 2 brothers Richard Taylor (companion Debbie Edwards) of Kentucky and Frank (wife Malissa) Taylor of Taylorville, IL 2 granddaughters Cierra Marie Taylor and Gracie Elizabeth Shemwell both of Tovey, IL 5 step grandchildren Jade, Alyssa, Brad, Stephanie, Courtney and many nieces and nephews.

Ada was preceded in death by her parents, husband Donald Tanner, a brother Ricky Lee Taylor, and a step grandson Chad Melton.

A memorial gathering/visitation will be held from 5 to 7 P.M. Thursday, May 26, 2016 at Masterson Funeral Home in Kincaid, IL. Services will follow at 7:00 P.M. with Rev. Chad Foster officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Bethany Cemetery, rural Edinburg Illinois.
