Mr. Ronald Lee "Ron" Verbiski

Mr. Ronald Lee Verbiski, 81, of Bulpitt, IL passed from this life at 2:35 a.m. Thursday, October 8, 2020 at Memorial Medical Center, Springfield.

He was born in Kincaid, IL February 15, 1939 the son of John and Mary Mildred (Burkhart) Verbiski.  Ronald married Priscilla A. Grobosky August 17, 1959 in Taylorville, IL and she preceded him in death on July 3, 2005. 

Mr. Verbiski graduated from Kincaid High School in 1957 and honorably served in the U.S. Navy from 1957 to 1961.  He was a member of the Kincaid Baptist Church, and U.M.W.A. #1819.  Ron worked as a coal miner for 37 years at Mine #10 and 4 years at Marissa.  He enjoyed spending time with and was immensely proud of his family.  Mr. Verbiski was known as a Patriot.

Surviving are a son Greg and wife Michele Verbiski of Jeisyville, IL a daughter Mary and husband David Baker of Murrells Inlet, S.C. grandsons Gregory and wife Amy Verbiski of Altus, OK, Evan German of Murrells Inlet, SC great-granddaughters Peyton and Payslee Verbiski of Altus, OK and Rory and Ansley German of Murrells Inlet, SC., a sister Joyce Miller of Springfield, IL his loyal companion Jan Stover of Bulpitt, IL along with several cousins, nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Priscilla, and a brother Robert “Bob” Verbiski.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 10, 2020 at Masterson Funeral Home in Kincaid, IL.  Rev. Chad Foster will officiate.  Burial will follow in Bethany Cemetery near Lake Sangchris.  Visitation for Mr. Ronald L. Verbiski will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Masterson’s in Kincaid.  Condolences may also be left online at mastersonfh.com and will be printed off and given to his family.
