Mr. Robert C. Huston, Sr

Mr. Robert C. Huston, Sr., 84, of Jeisyville, IL. died late Wednesday evening, April 28, 2021 at his home with family near his side.

He was born in Detroit, IL., January 31, 1937 the son of Orville and Edith (Bishop) Huston.  Robert married Mable B. "Bonnie" Ray on April 29, 1954 in Union City, TN.  She preceded him in death March 4, 2004.

Mr. Huston honorably served in the United States Marine Corps from 1954 to 1957.  He retired from Peabody Mine #10 near Pawnee.  Robert enjoyed: fishing, mushroom hunting, hunting, woodworking, camping, a good cup of coffee, wintering in Texas, spending time with his family and spoiling his grandchildren.

Surviving are: 2 daughters Bonita (John) Deck of Crossville, TN., Cheryl (Darrel) Moore of Pawnee, IL., 2 sons Robert C. (Crystal) Huston, Jr. of Jeisyville, IL., Shawn (Debbie) Huston of Morrisonville, IL., 10 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren, his companion Dasie McCalister, 2 sisters Carol (Hal) Behrens and Donna Wolfe and 2 brothers Howard Huston and Ronnie (Joyce) Huston along with many nieces and nephews.  

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Bonnie, and a significant other Sandra Gilmore of Blue Mound.

Visitation for Mr. Robert C. Huston, Sr. will be held from 5 to 7 P.M. Monday, May 3, 2021 at Masterson Funeral Home in Kincaid.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, May  4 at Masterson's.  Rev Chad Foster will officiate.  Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens, rural Taylorville, IL with military honors by the U.S. Marine Corps.  Please wear a mask.  Condolences may also be left at mastersonfh.com and will be forwarded to his family.
