Mr. Giuseppe L. "Joe" Pellinghelli Sr., 77, of Tovey passed away at 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 22, 2016 in Taylorville Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Pellinghelli was born in Tizzano Italy, July 20 1938 the son of Guerino "Reno" and Dirce "Dorothy" Cavatorta Pellinghelli.

He married Martha Brooks April 21, 1972 in Springfield, IL.

He was a self-employed contractor for more than forty years, retiring in 2001. He owned and operated with his wife J & M Grocery store in Tovey, IL for 3 years. He also worked as a coalminer in Coffeen and Farmersville. Joe loved to watch sports on television and was an avid Chicago Bulls fan; so much so that he refused to watch if they were losing.

Surviving are his wife Martha of Tovey, IL seven children, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Private services were held with the assistance of Masterson Funeral Home, Kincaid.
