Mrs. Mary C. "Nonnie" Pinnell, 90, formerly of Kincaid, IL passed away at 8:00 pm Sunday, March 23, 2014 in Gowin Parc, Taylorville, IL.

Mary was born in Alvia, Iowa December 15, 1923 the daughter of Joseph and Giovanna (Dezorzi) Corso. She married Charles R. Pinnell May 19, 1945. They celebrated 67 wonderful years before he passed away August 1, 2012.

Mrs. Pinnell was a devoted member of over 65 years of the Kincaid Church of God where she also belonged to the Ladies Auxiliary. Mary had worked at the Ammo Depot in Illiopolis, IL, Primo's Grocery Store in Kincaid, and also as a nurse's aid at St. Vincent Memorial Hospital, Taylorville. She unconditionally loved her family and friends and loved spending time with them. Mrs. Pinnell had been a resident at Gowin Parc since June where she received the best of care.

Surviving are: 3 daughters Andrea (Paul) Swiney of Taylorville, IL Cheryl (Rex) Jesse of Moweaqua, IL Patty (James) Tolly of Assumption, IL 2 sons Roy John Pinnell of Taylorville and Joseph (Esther) Pinnell of Phoenix, AZ a sister Leona Sisk of Pawnee, IL 10 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 8 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Charles, a son David Pinnell, a daughter in law Jeannie Pinnell, a sister Rena Marcogliese, and 2 grandsons Grant Tolly and Rudy Pinnell.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 pm Saturday, March 29, 2014 in the Kincaid Church of God. Pastor Jacob Skelton will officiated. Burial followed in Bethany Cemetery, rural Edinburg, IL. Visitation for Mrs. Pinnell was held for one hour before the service at the Kincaid Church of God. Memorials may be made in her memory to the Kincaid Church of God Ladies Auxiliary Kincaid, IL 62540.

Nonnie's family would especially like to thank the wonderful people at Gowen Parc for the loving care given to Mrs. Pinnell during her stay there.
