Louis 'Lou' Pleshe, age 73 of Corpus Christi, Texas went home to be with the Lord on April 23, 2012.
Lou was a dedicated servant of God, born on October 5, 1938 in Kincaid, Illinois. His parents were Louis Frank & Katherine Rose Pleshe. Married on January 2, 1961 to the love of his life, his 'Bride', Carolyn 'Midge' Pleshe
A retired U.S. Naval officer of 22 years, Lou was a proud member of the "Silent Service", the elite submariners force and a dedicated patriot. He was a highly decorated participant of world changing events in the 1960's and 1970's. He loved sharing his experiences and adventures in the Navy.
Lou was a minister with a heart for all people. He taught Bible study in his home and touched many lives in his ministry in the local jails. He also blessed people with his teachings at nursing homes where he enjoyed sharing the word. Lou devoted much time to studying the Bible. He was always eager to impart what the Lord revealed to him. He enjoyed golfing with his wife and his buddies, traveling and working at the trade center.
Survived by his wife Midge and two children Tony Pleshe, Tami Harper and son-in-law, Jolly Harper; four siblings: Rita Springer (Bill), David Pleshe (Becky), Jerome Pleshe (Donna) and Frank Pleshe (Michelle). He was blessed to have so many friends and family that loved him.
There was a celebration of Lou's life on Friday, May 4, 2012, 11:00am at Corpus Christi Christian Fellowship, 6602 South Staples Street, Corpus Christi, Texas 78413. Graveside services were held at Calvary Cemetery in Pawnee, Illinois, with full military honors, at 11:00 am Saturday, May 12. 2012. Lou was laid to rest alongside his parents. Masterson Funeral Home in Kincaid is handling arrangements.
Many thanks to our church family all who loved Lou and prayed without ceasing for him during this difficult time. We rejoice in knowing that he was welcomed home with this... 'Well done my good and faithful servant' - Matthew 25:21 -
