Lou Maxine (Guyett) Covey

Mrs. Lou Maxine Covey, 91, of Springfield, IL., died Saturday, May 20, 2023 at St. John’s Hospital, Springfield, IL.

She was born in Springfield, IL on October 10, 1931 the daughter of Ervin and Caroline (Sheets) Guyett.  Lou married Edward Cleo Covey July 27, 1955 in Bloomington, IL.  He preceded her in death December 6, 2020.

She loved her family and horses.

Surviving are 1 daughter Tina Kresse of Buffalo, IL., 3 grandchildren Travis Kresse and Tonya Kresse of Mechanicsburg, IL., and Jim Kolba of Rochester, IL., 3 great-grandchildren Harrison and Savannah Kolba and Kash Kresse.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Edward, a daughter Edwina Kolba and all of her siblings.

Private graveside services will be held.  Arrangements by Masterson Funeral Home, Kincaid.
