Loretta June (Summers) Davis, 86, of Taylorville, formerly of Kincaid, IL passed from this life at 10:55 p.m. Saturday, August 31, 2019 at Life’s Journey Senior Living, Taylorville, IL.

She was born in West Frankfort, IL on June 22, 1933 the daughter of Johnson and Rose (Stoll) Summers. The former Miss Summers graduated from Kincaid High School in the class of 1951. Loretta married Thomas E. Davis on July 5, 1952 it Kincaid United Methodist Church, and he preceded her in death December 8, 1996. Mrs. Davis then worked for Liberty Mutual on the Square in Taylorville before becoming a fulltime homemaker. She enjoyed her dogs, camping, fishing, family and friends and wintering in Florida.

Survivors include a brother Thomas (wife Helen) Summers of Taylorville, IL, her close friend Maurice Isaacs of Stonington, IL, a brother-in-law Don Larcher of Jeisyville, IL, a brother-in-law Howard (wife Eloise) Davis of Kincaid, IL along with many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Thomas, and a sister Barbara Larcher.

As per her wishes, Loretta will be cremated and private in-urnment will take place at a later date. Masterson Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Kincaid, IL has been entrusted with her care.
