Larry Samuel Wainscott

Mr. Larry S. Wainscott, 82, of Virden, IL formerly of Springfield, IL passed from this life at 1:55 P.M. Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at St. John’s Hospital, Springfield, IL.

He was born in Springfield, IL May 21, 1938 the son of William and Nellie Wainscott.  He married Bonnie Nichols on March 14, 1959 and she survives him.  Mr. Wainscott worked 25 years with the U.S. Postal Service and had worked prior at Allis Chalmers and as a roofer and carpenter.   He served the U.S Armed Services.

Surviving are his wife Bonnie and a daughter Deborah Wainscott both of Virden, IL.  2 sisters Sharon Lindsey of Springfield, IL and Marilyn Fedderk of Steelville, IL and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sons Michael and Larry Wainscott, Jr., 1 brother and 1 sister.

Cremation Rites have been accorded.  Masterson Funeral Home & Cremation Service is assisting with arrangements.
