Kevin B. Evans

Mr. Kevin Bruce Evans, 63, of Kincaid, IL passed from this life at 7:45 a.m. Friday, June 24, 2022 at home.

He was born in Taylorville, IL July 9, 1958 the son of Raymond A. and Ava Jean (Kemmerling) Evans.

Kevin was a friend to many.  He enjoyed NASCAR, and racing in general.  He worked as a mechanic most of his life at his father Ray’s Service Station and for himself at the family farm.  He had also worked: as a Meat Cutter at Kincaid Food Mart and briefly at Borg Warner in Decatur.  He was an avid Junker but only collected the things he knew he could fix. Kevin was known to donate his skills and expertise helping his friends keep their cars on the road.

Surviving are: his mother Ava J. Evans, a sister Denise Evans, a brother John Evans all of Kincaid, IL., an aunt Ann Gasser of Greenville, IL., a nephew Jarrod Burney, nieces Ashley Heiple, Abby Jackson, and Lauren Evans a great nephew Maverick Jackson, and great nieces Brogan Burney and Rylie Burney along with a great many friends.

He was preceded in death by his father Raymond “Ray” Evans.

As per Kevin’s wishes, no services will be held and cremation rites have been accorded.  Masterson Funeral Home in Kincaid is assisting his family with arrangements.  Condolences and memories may be left at mastersonfh.com and will be forwarded to his family.
