Mrs. Kathleen G. "Katie" Brown, 83, of Kincaid, IL passed away at her home at 4:04 P.M. Monday, September 1, 2014.

She was born December 30, 1930 in Hagan, VA the daughter of Arch and Ruby (Ramey) Cheek. Kathleen married Kenneth D. Brown June 21, 1960 in El Paso, TX and he survives.

Katie loved spending time with her family and friends.

Surviving are her husband Kenneth D. Brown of Kincaid, IL a daughter Brenda and husband Jeff Tucker of Tovey, IL 2 sons Steve and his wife Peggy Sue Brown of Palmer, IL and Dennis Beaty of Paris, MO. Along with 10 grandchildren and several great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Her parents, 2 sons James K. Brown and Rick Beaty and a sister Thelma Owens, preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, September 5, 2014 at Masterson Funeral Home in Kincaid, IL. Rev Chad Foster officiated. Burial followed in Bethany Cemetery, rural Edinburg, IL. Visitation for Mrs. Brown was held from 5 to 7 P.M. Thursday, Sept. 4 at Masterson's in Kincaid.
