Mr. John F. Wyatt, Jr., 91, of Kincaid, IL., passed away at 2:08 P.M. Wednesday, November 12, 2014 in Carlinville Area Hospital, Carlinville, IL.
He was born in Kincaid, IL. November 22, 1922 the son of John F. and Helen T. (Luckvich) Wyatt, Sr. John married Marian B. Ferrell April 4, 1946 in Kincaid, IL.
Mr. Wyatt worked as a coal miner for over 40 years retiring from Peabody Mine #10 near Pawnee, IL. October 3, 1984. He was a member of St. Rita's Catholic Church, Kincaid. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII and received the Purple Heart. He was a member of U.M.W.A. Local 9819, American Legion Post #905 in Kincaid, IL., and V.F.W. Post #4495 in Taylorville, IL
Surviving are a daughter Marsha (husband Nathan) Jones of Girard, IL., 5 grandchildren Susan Renee Wyatt, John Wyatt IV, Sean Miller, Jesse James Wyatt, Maggie Mae Snar, 7 great-grandchildren Haley Renee, Coady Wyatt, Rhianon, John James, Zoyara, Brock and Kate and 1 great-great-child Wyatt Michael along a companion Martha Schoppman of Taylorville and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sons John Wyatt III in 1995 and James "Jimmy" Wyatt in 2007, a brother Harold Wyatt and sisters Marjorie Harris, and Marcella Vota.
Memorial military graveside rites by the Interveterans Burial Detail of Sangamon County were held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, November 17, 2014 in Camp Butler National Cemetery, Riverton, IL.
