Mr. John P. "Bulldog" Noreuil, 81, of Edinburg, IL passed away at 9:11 p.m. Sunday, November 27, 2011 peacefully at home.

Mr. Noreuil was born in Tovey, IL March 24, 1930 the son of Oscar and Celine (Mathieu) Noreuil. He married Susan K. Wright on September 4, 1986 in Kinaid, IL.

John retired as a boss at Mine #10 near Pawnee. He was an associate member of the American Legion in Kincaid. John was an Illinois State Fair Bocce Ball Champion in 1972 and was a former undefeated semi-pro boxer with a record of 18 - 0.

Surviving are his wife Susan Noreuil of Edinburg, IL sons Chris (Monica) Noreuil of Tovey, IL Steven L. Noreuil of Edinburg, IL Jimmy (Debbie) Noreuil of Tovey, IL Gary Noreuil of Oklahoma, John Noreuil of Taylorville, IL daughters Cindy Noreuil of Taylorville, IL Tammy (Paul) Greenlee of Taylorville, IL Tracy Ruppe of Florida, Susan (Kevin) Corley of Springfield, IL Julie Hampton of Taylorville, IL 22 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, 4 brothers Leon Noreuil of Taylorville, IL Raymond (Lorraine) Noreuil of Taylorville, IL Thomas (Darlene) Noreuil of Springfield, IL Robert (Judy) Noreuil of Taylorville, IL a sister Adele (Bruce) Barger of Kincaid, IL along with a great many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers Oscar and Victor Noreuil and a sister Marian Hodge.
