Jenell Rae Morris Brest, 59, of Kincaid, IL passed away at 3:45 am Friday April 12, 2013 in Memorial Medical Center, Springfield from complications suffered when her home burned.

She was born October 4, 1953 in Ft. Leonard Wood, MO the daughter of Alfred E. and Nora J. (Wolfe) Morris, Sr. Jenell graduated from South Fork High School. She married Dennis Brest, Sr., October 15, 1971 in Springfield, IL and he preceded her in death October 10, 1999.

Jenell was a member of Kincaid Church of God. She formerly worked for the State of Illinois in the Department of Public Aid. Jenell loved to travel, sing, write songs and spend time with her children, grand children and family. Her photo is one used on her published album.

Surviving are 2 sons Dennis (Shona) Brest, Jr., of Riverton, IL., Daniel Brest of Kincaid, IL., a daughter Abigail Brest of Kincaid, IL., her mother Nora J. Morris of Kincaid, IL., a brother Robert A. (Tammy) Morris of Kincaid, IL sister Cheryl Morris Fehring of Taylorville, IL., grandchildren Chase Lee, Cheyenne Lee, MacKinzie Brest, Jayden Brest, Alexis Brest, Daniel Brest, Jr., and Cody Kelly.

She was preceded in death by her Husband, Father, and a brother Alfred E. Morris.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 am Tuesday, April 16, 2013 in Masterson Funeral Home, Kincaid, IL. Pastor Michael Mayberry of Kincaid Church of God officiated assisted by Pastor Linda Vonck of Midland United Methodist Church. Burial was in Zion Cemetery, Pawnee, IL. Visitation was held from 6 to 8 pm Monday, April 15 at Masterson Funeral Home, Kincaid.
