Mrs. Irene O'Dell, 87, of Kincaid, IL passed away at home Saturday, May 12, 2012.

Irene was born in Segil, IL July 6, 1924 the daughter of Carl and Anna (McFedder) Behl.

She married Marvin Harold O'Dell November 18, 1939 in Terra Haute, IN. He preceded her in death June 23, 1975.

Mrs. O'Dell loved cooking, sewing crocheting and taking care of her family. She worked had worked for the State of Illinois and South Fork Elementary School as a cook for many years.

Surviving are a son Michael (Linda) O'Dell of Kincaid, IL, daughters Kathryn (John) Tomazic of Kincaid, IL Wanda (Harold) Miller of Kincaid, IL Sharon Christer of Kincaid, IL., Donna (Jerry) Stewart of Pana, IL Roberta (Dale) Akers of Zeigler, IL and Marla Hodson of Kincaid, IL 2 sisters Helen Brown of Kincaid, IL and Mary (Gene) Peterson of Mattoon, IL, along with 20 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren and 13 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Marvin, brother Gene Behl and 2 great great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 pm Tuesday, May 15, 2012 in Masterson Funeral Home, Kincaid. Visitation was held there from noon to 2:00 PM. Burial was in Old Stonington Cemetery. Memorials may be made to South Fork Township Senior Citizens.
