A Memorial gathering for Holli Lynn Foli, age 45, of Portland, Oregon who passed away on Thursday, November 15th after a courageous 6 1/2 year battle with ovarian cancer will be held at Masterson Funeral home in Kincaid, IL on January 6th 2013 from 2:30 to 4:00 p.m.

Holli was born in Portsmouth, VA on May 24, 1967 to Barbara Peel Foli and the late Vernon Foli. She grew up in Taylorville, IL where she graduated from high school. She then attended college at Illinois State University, obtaining a Bachelor's degree in art history and a Master's in business finance.

She worked in art galleries in Illinois after graduating and served as a volunteer logistics coordinator with the American Red Cross in disaster relief efforts including Hurricane Andrew in 1992 and the 1993 Mississippi River flood. Holli moved to Portland, OR in 1994, where she settled into a successful position as an Escrow Office Manager. During her 17 year career she was appointed President of the Metropolitan Chapter of the Oregon Escrow Council and served as the State Director of that council for several years.

Holli loved art, philosophy, fine food and traveling. She toured Europe while in high school and later vacationed several times in Hawaii, Mexico, South America and the Caribbean. Her travels also took her to Italy with her Aunts Leila, Margaret, Carol, Kathy and her Uncle Denny to visit the Foli family in Fanano, Italy. Her personal library reflected her interest in different cultures, religions and ways of thinking. She also cherished family traditions, the holidays and time with her niece and little cousins.

She was preceded in death by her Birth-father Vernon Foli in 1968.

She is survived by her mother Barbara Peel Lake of Portland, OR, sister Julie Lake of Taos, NM, sister Katie Lake Davis (Brian) and niece, and Ava Lake Davis all of Portland OR, father Ron Lake (Donna) of Eugene, OR, grandmother Nola Lake of Quincy, IL, her Aunts Linda Whitehead, Carol Foli Ralph (Steve), Linda Irwin and uncle Dennis Foli (Kathy) and her chocolate lab Elliott.

A celebration of Holli's life was held in Portland, OR on Sunday November 25th.

Ron Lake (Donna) of Eugene, OR, grandmother Nola Lake of Quincy, IL, her birth father's sister and brother, Carol Foli Ralph (Steve) and Dennis Foli (Kathy) both of Kincaid, IL, and many relatives in Illinois, Texas, Florida, Colorado and Canada. She is also survived by her energetic chocolate lab companion, Elliott.

A celebration of Holli's life was held in Portland, OR on Sunday November 25th. A Memorial service will be held at Masterson Funeral home in Kincaid, IL on January 6th 2013 at 2:30p.m.
