Mrs. Helen V. Brown, 91, of Kincaid, IL passed away at 2:25 a.m. Saturday, September 29, 2012 at Meadow Manor Nursing Home, Taylorville, IL.

She was born October 13, 1920 in Sigel, IL the daughter of Carl and Anna (Harmon) Behl. Helen was first married to John Loman and later to Charles R. Brown.

Mrs. Brown was a member of St. Rita Catholic Church and the American Legion Auxiliary both in Kincaid. She worked for the Secretary of State in the Licensing Division for 16 years retiring June 30, 1984.

Surviving are a sister Mary (Eugene) Patterson of Mattoon, IL along with many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 sister and 1 brother.

Mass of Christian Burial was at 11:00 am Wednesday, October 3, 2012 in St. Rita's Catholic Church, Kincaid, IL. Fr. Alan Hunter officiated. Visitation was held at the church for one hour before the service.
