Obituary
Ms. Greta J. Andrighetti, 95, of Taylorville, IL passed from this life at 3:30 a.m. Monday, July 11, 2022 at Taylorville Care Center.
She was born in Taylorville, IL Monday, December 6, 1926 the daughter of Joseph and Albina (Piacenti) Guerrini.
Greta married James Andrighetti February 24, 1951 at St. Rita’s Catholic Church in Kincaid, IL. He preceded her in death.
Mrs. Andrighetti worked as an inspector at the Ford plant in Chicago during WWII making B-29 airplane engines. Following the war, she worked at Simplicity Frocks in Kincaid and later at the Rothley Garment Factory in Taylorville, IL. Greta was a long time member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Taylorville, IL.
She is survived by a daughter Sandra D. Andrighetti of Springfield, IL along with a niece Carol Curry of Morrisville, NC and a nephew Gene Margelli of Blairsville, GA.
Greta was also preceded in death by her parents, a brother and sister Joseph and Amelia Guerrini in infancy, a step-brother Gene Margelli and 3 step sisters Elide and Anne Margelli and Lena Hubert.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, July 15, 2022 at Oak Hill Cemetery, Taylorville, IL Fr. Piotr S. Kosk will officiate. Masterson Funeral Home in Kincaid is honored to be assisting her family with arrangements.
