Gloria Jean (Busonic) Chalacoff

Mrs. Gloria Jean Chalacoff, age 83, of Kincaid, IL, passed away Tuesday, August 1, 2023.

She was born on February 5, 1940, in White City, IL.

She was a graduate of Kincaid High School, Kincaid, IL. She married the love of her life, Gary Byron Chalacoff, in 1959, and their marriage was a living testimony to everyone.

Those who were blessed to know her will forever be inspired by her love for the Lord and her unconditional love for others. She was a lifetime member of St. Rita’s Catholic Church, Kincaid, IL. 

She is survived by her children, Gary (Linda) Chalacoff of Flowery Branch, GA, Dena (Craig) Smith of Freeport, IL; grandchildren: Jacob Chalacoff, Makayla Chalacoff, Garret (JiHyun) Smith of South Korea, Brandon Smith; great-grandchild: Nolan Chalacoff; brother: Michael (Connie) Busonic; sisters: Victoria Ginger and Sheila Frazier; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Gary B. Chalacoff; parents: Michael and Francis Busonic; In-laws: Donald and Josephine Chalacoff; Brothers-In-Law: Pete Frazier and Lawrence Ginger.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, August 7, 2023, at St. Rita Catholic Church in Kincaid, IL.  Fr. Piotr Kosk will officiate.  Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, Taylorville, IL.  There will be no visitation.  Masterson Funeral Home in Kincaid is assisting with arrangements.  Condolences may also be left at mastersonfh.com.
