Mr. George Richard “Bud” Dean, 86 of Sebring, FL., formerly of Jeisyville, IL died Saturday, June 17, 2023, in Sebring, FL.
He was born in Kincaid, IL March 20 1937, the son of William Earl and Beulah Jelly Dean.
Mr. Dean graduated from Kincaid High School. He married Deanna Summers in 1958 at the Kincaid Methodist Church. They enjoyed 65 years together.
George was employed at Peabody Mine #10. He then started working as a Peabody Mine Safety Manager in Marissa, IL and transferred to Henderson KY where he retired at age 55.
Mr. Dean was a member of Living Waters Church of God in Sebring, FL and was a former member of Kincaid Church of God.
Surviving are his wife Deanna Dean of Sebring, FL., a son Michael (Barb) Dean, a son-in-law Roy Dean Dickey, 1 sister Twila Acosta, and 3 grandchildren Tony Dickey, Lauren (Logan) Zirkelbach and Seth Dean.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Kim Dickey, a granddaughter Alycia Dickey, and 2 sisters Rosalie Durbin and Martha Cook.
Visitation will be held from 9am to 11am Saturday, June 24, 2023, at the Kincaid Church of God. Funeral will follow at the Kincaid Church of God at 11:00 am. Burial will then take place at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens in Taylorville.
