Mrs. Frances B. Smith, 84, of Witt, IL passed away at home at 12:30 am Sunday, October 12, 2014 surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Pana, IL May 12, 1930 the daughter of James and Emily (Beauchamp) White. Frances married Richard E. Smith formerly of Tovey, IL on July 23, 1948 in Palmer, IL.

Mrs. Smith worked at the Cardinal Plant in Kincaid, IL and Rothley's in Taylorville, IL and at one time managed a Camp Ground in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. She loved sewing, crocheting, working ceramics, in her younger years riding a Harley with her husband, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Surviving are her husband of 66 years Richard Smith of Witt, IL 2 daughters Sue Bryce of Witt, IL Sherry Terneus of Charleston, IL 4 grandchildren Rick (Nedra) Bryce of Irving, IL Tara (Brian) Brown of Heyworth, IL Stacy Terneus and Scott Terneus both of Decatur, IL and a great granddaughter Emily Brown along with several nieces and nephews.

Her parents, 3 brothers Gene, Carroll and Jim White and a sister Donna Ritchey preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 am Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at Masterson Funeral Home, Kincaid, IL. Pastor Joy Cashetta officiated. Burial followed in Bethany Cemetery, rural Edinburg, IL. Visitation for Mrs. Smith was held from 9 to 11 am Wednesday at Masterson Funeral Home, Kincaid.
