Mrs. Ethel Mae Mansfield, 78, of Bulpitt, IL., passed away at 10:54 am Saturday, February 23, 2013 in Taylorville Memorial Hospital.

Ethel was born in Breese, IL October 18, 1934 the daughter of Lawrence A. and Henrietta A. (Ess) Schulte. She married Tom Holstlaw and they divorced. Ethel later married Harold L. Mansfield April 2, 1961 in Edwardsville, IL. Mr. Mansfield preceded her in death July 4, 2009.

Mrs. Mansfield was a member of St. Rita's Catholic Church, Kincaid where she is a former member of the Alter and Rosary Society. She loved building floats for the Kincaid Labor Day Parade, gardening, watching "NCIS" and spending time with her family. At one time Ethel was a Tupperware salesperson.

Surviving are a son Brad (Angie) Mansfield of Kincaid, IL., daughter Cindy (Paul "Pat") Tilley of Kincaid, IL., son Mitch (Tresa) Mansfield of Taylorville, IL., 2 step-sons Cliff (Linda) Mansfield of Taylorville, IL., Jay (LuAnn) Mansfield of Shepherds Town, WV., 2 brothers Terrance "Sonny" (Debbie) Schulte of Fillmore, IL., Trent Schulte of Kincaid, IL., a sister Iris Anderson of Bulpitt, IL., 15 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, 1 son Kevin Holstlaw, 1 brother Dennis Schulte and 2 sisters Doris Peel and Patricia Merano.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 am Wednesday, February 27, 2013 in St. Rita's Catholic Church, Kincaid. Fr. Alan Hunter officiated. Burial was in Glen Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, Taylorville, IL. Visitation was held from 5:00 to 7:00 pm with a prayer service at 4:45 pm Tuesday, February 26, at Masterson Funeral Home, Kincaid. Memorials may be made to St. Rita's Catholic Church Roof Fund.
