Mrs. Enes Anne Weddle (nee Gherardi), age 95, of Kincaid, Illinois, passed away peacefully on April 22, 2026.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband George Raymond Weddle and parents Armando Gherardi and Elizabeth Rose Gherardi (nee Buff) and brother Emilio Gherardi and sister Ora Verardi.
Survived by son John L. Weddle (Elisabeth A. Stout), grand-daughter Whitney Rae Weddle-Ehret (Kevin) and great-grandchildren Anaya and Jameson Speakman and sisters Edith (Claudine) Puccetti and Carmen Koches and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, who will forever cherish her memory.
Enes was known for her faith, kindness, generosity, dedication and service to family, church and community. She had great pride in her home and her gardens. Enes worked as an Accountant III for the State of Illinois (Department of Mental Health) for 30+ years. She was a lifelong (50+ year) member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Tacusah Chapter #682, Assumption, Illinois. And a devoted member of her church, Midland United Methodist Church in Kincaid.
Enes’ parents immigrated from Italy and she learned the fine art of northern Italian cuisine from them. Her outstanding baking skills are renowned in the area. She baked pies for church and American Legion events and generously shared cookies with family and friends. Her culinary talents were among the very best.

Internment will eventually take place later next to her beloved husband Goerge “Raymond” Weddle at Camp Butler National Military Cemetery.
