Edward C. Covey

Mr. Edward C. Covey, 91, of Springfield, IL passed from this life at 1:55 P.M. Sunday, December 6, 2020 at St. John’s Hospital, Springfield, IL.

He was born in Decatur, IL December 31, 1928 the son of Edward C and Hattie (Harris) Covey.  Edward married Lou Maxine Guyett July 27, 1955 in Bloomington, IL. 

Mr. Covey retired as a Superintendent from the Springfield Park District.

Surviving are his wife Lou Maxine of Springfield, IL a daughter Tina Kresse of Buffalo, IL 3 grandchildren Travis Kresse of Buffalo, IL Tonya Kresse of Mechanicsburg, IL and Jim and his wife Raina Kolba of Rochester, IL 3 great-grandchildren Harrison and Savannah Kolba and Kash Kresse along with nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a daughter Edwina Kolba and brothers and sisters.

Private family graveside services will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery of Clearlake Township, Springfield, IL.
