Donald Richard Grafton

Mr. Donald Richard “Don” Grafton, Sr., 87, of Bulpitt, IL., passed from this life at 3:53 P.M. on Friday, December 30, 2022 at home with loving family by his side.

Don was born in Grand Tower, IL Thursday, July 18, 1935, the son of Bartholomew and Violet Belle (Luthy) Grafton.

Donald was a member of the Kincaid Church of God.  He had worked most of his life as a laborer doing many jobs such as a carpenter, painter, mechanic, butcher, waste management, services industry, taxi driver.  His last employers were Walmart and Dominoes, Taylorville.  He enjoyed all animals and loved reading the Bible, drawing and especially spending time with family.

He is survived by his children Harvey "Kurt" (Janice) Grafton, Donald "Donnie" (Yvonne) Grafton, Jr., Connie Ann Colloway (nee Grafton), Rebecca (Bryan) Koch, Christina (Scottie) Wilson, Herbert "Herb" Grafton, Steve (Becky) Miller, his sister Margaret Jane Vinson, brothers Thomas, Allen Dale, Terry; along with several nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and even a few great-great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 children; Marena Mavis Jean Grafton, Thomas William Grafton, Richard Donald Grafton, grandson Richard LeRoy Grafton, granddaughter Brittany Nicole Grafton, four brothers and two sisters.

Cremation rites have been accorded.  A Memorial Service with potluck luncheon will be held from 4:30 to 7:30 P.M CST on Friday, January 27, 2023 at the South Fork Township Hall in Kincaid, IL.  Bringing a covered dish is encouraged.  Masterson Funeral Home & Cremation Service is honored to be assisting with arrangements.
