Mr. Donald Lee Emerson, 60, of West Alton, MO., passed away at 1:50 p.m. Thursday, November 24, 2011 in St. Elizabeth's Hospital, Belleville, IL.

He was born in Highland, IL June 12, 1951 the son of Fred and Rosalie (Saulsbery) Emerson. He worked as a Supervisor in the Electronic Telecommunications Industry.

Mr. Emerson served honorably in the U.S. Army. He had attended the University of Illinois in Champaign and was an avid Illini, Cardinals, and Bears Fan. He played a lot of Softball in various leagues over the years.

Surviving are 2 sisters Dorothy Emerson of Springfield, IL Sharon and husband Rick Smith of Taylorville, IL a brother Ron and wife Dale Emerson of Mississauga, Ontario Canada a brother in law Rudy Riva of Belleville, IL along with many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Marilyn Riva October 27th.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at Masterson Funeral Home, Kincaid. Rev. Chad Foster will officiate. Visitation was held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date.
