Obituary
Mr. Dillard Luttrell, 83, of Tovey, IL died Thursday July 13, 2023 at Carriage Crossing Senior Living in Rochester, IL.
He was born in Windsor, KY on April 10, 1940 the son of Garland Grant and Edna Mae (Douglas) Luttrell.
Dillard married Carol Jean Hadden on December 13, 1958 in Edinburg, IL.
Mr. Luttrell was a member of U.M.W.A. and a former Board Member and former Mayor of the Village of Tovey, IL. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking and was an antique collector. He retired from the Marissa Mine after a 39 year career coal mining mostly at #10 near Pawnee, IL.
Surviving along with his wife Carol Jean are 2 sons Wayne (wife CanDee) Luttrell of Kincaid, IL., Mark (wife Amy) Luttrell of North Carolina, 4 grandchildren Colby (Danica) Luttrell of Chatham, IL., Jordyn (Michael) Bailey of Terre Haute, IN., Taylor (Jeff) Skinner of FL., Austin Luttrell of Raleigh, N.C., 2 great-grand children Leven Luttrell, and Addie Bailey, a brother Ballard Luttrell of Stonington, IL., 3 sisters Brenda (William) Nixon of IN., Vanda (Mike) Cody of Riverton, IL., Glenda (James) Yeaman of Tovey, IL., along with several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by is parents, 2 brothers Willard and Lillard and 1 sister Wanda Eden.
Private family services will be held. Masterson Funeral Home in Kincaid is assisting with arrangements.
