Mr. Bruno A. DeRocchi, 83, of Taylorville, IL., passed away at 5:30 am Sunday, June 5, 2011 at Taylorville Memorial Hospital in Taylorville.

Bruno was born September 4, 1927, in Jeisyville, IL., the son of Antone and Gema "Jennie" (Vivarelli) DeRocchi. He graduated from Kincaid High School. Mr. DeRocchi was married 59 years ago to Dolores L. Castellani, at St. Rita's Catholic Church in Kincaid on June 28, 1952.

Bruno enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, playing cards and hunting mushrooms. He enjoyed sports of any kind. Mr. DeRocchi worked at Caterpillar in Decatur for 35 years, retiring as an inspector in 1986. He was an associate member of V.F.W. Post # 4495 in Taylorville and American Legion Post #905 in Kincaid. Most of all Bruno was a devoted St. Louis Cardinals fan and loved playing Bocce, a sport he was great at.

Surviving are his wife Dolores; son, David DeRocchi both of Taylorville; one daughter, Annetta and husband Steve Goss of Noblesville, IN; 3 grandchildren, Abbey Goss, Michael Goss and Katy Goss along with a brother, Alfred DeRocchi of Jeisyville. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Albert DeRocchi and sisters, Mary Jaehnke, Katherine Olson and Anna Hartwig.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 am Wednesday June 8, 2011 in Masterson Funeral Home at Kincaid. Michael Summers will officiate. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery at Taylorville.

Visitation was from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Tuesday June 7, 2011 in the funeral home.
