Obituary
Mrs. Beulah G. Szabo, 93, of Pawnee, IL., passed from this life at 10:57 P.M. Friday, March 24, 2023 at Memorial Medical Center, Springfield, IL.
She was born in Springfield, IL., October 22, 1929, the daughter of Andrew and Beulah L. (Heyland) Danner.
Beulah married John A. “Jack” Szabo June 11, 1949 in Springfield, IL., and he preceded her in death October 20, 2005.
Mrs. Szabo graduated from Feitchans High School in Springfield, IL in 1948. She along with her husband owned and operated Oak Grove Resort in Nisswa, MN. She was a member of St. Rita’s Catholic Church in Kincaid, IL., the Alter and Rosary Society of St. Rita’s. Beulah volunteered at the Food Pantry in Pawnee, IL., and enjoyed fishing, bowling, playing cards and Bingo.
Surviving are her children: Jackie Szabo of Des Moines, IA., John (Teresa) Szabo of Augusta, IL., David (Julie) Szabo of Pawnee, IL., William (Juli) Szabo of Broomfield, CO., Thomas Szabo of Pawnee, IL., Mary (Todd) Treese of Des Moines, IA., Karen (Doug) Ahle of Baxter, MN., son in law Harry Schnepp of Springfield, IL., her siblings: Mabel Croutcher Evelyn (Gary) Lazar, Ernest (Mildred) Danner, along with many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jack, a daughter Sandra Schnepp, siblings Frances Jackson, Florence Aiello, Kathleen Snow, Phyllis Dorworth, and Louis Danner.
Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at St. Rita Catholic Church in Kincaid, IL. Fr. Piotr Kosk will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Pawnee. Visitation for Mrs. Beulah G. Szabo will be held from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at St. Rita’s. Masterson Funeral Home in Kincaid, IL is assisting with arrangements. A meal will follow services at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to St. Rita Catholic Church – P.O. Box 439 - Kincaid, IL 62540
