Mrs. Betty R. Rodden, 86, of Kincaid, IL, passed away 10:38 am Tuesday, May 22, 2012 in Taylorville Memorial Hospital.

Betty was born in Stonington, IL February 2, 1926 the daughter of Christopher D. "Okie" and Sarah Irene (Weingand) Watson. She married Joseph E. Rodden August 7, 1972 in Chicago and he preceded her in death October 29, 1976.

Mrs. Rodden was associated with the Methodist Faith.

Surviving are a daughter Melodie Jo of Southern Illinois, 3 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, 9 nieces and nephews; Janet Hill of OK, Ruby (Ed) Reese, Gary (Shannon) Workman, Dennis (Gina) Watson, Debbie (Richard) Freeston, Cindy (Bill) Merrifield, Mike (Vickie) Watson all of Kincaid, IL Pat (Barb) Watson of GA and Lloyd (Kathy) Watson of Edinburg, IL. along with many great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, 4 brothers Lloyd in 1956, Roy in 1994, Den in 1998 and Wayne "Pinoche" in 2007 and a son Christopher Turnbow in 1977.

A celebration of Betty's life was held at 2:00 pm Saturday, May 26, 2012 at her niece Debbie Freeston's home, in Kincaid, IL.
