Mrs. Bettie L. Broccardo, 87, of Palmer, IL passed away at 3:38 pm Monday, March 3, 2014 at home surrounded by her family.

She was born in Tovey, IL July 19, 1926 the daughter of Albert A. and Myrtle A (Irwin) Fleming. Bettie married Joseph "Art" Broccardo October 14, 1944 in Taylorville, IL. He preceded her in death December 7, 1981.

Mrs. Broccardo was a member of St. Rita's Catholic Church, Kincaid, IL. She is a former member of St. Rita's Alter and Rosary Society. Bettie loved playing cards and spending time with her family.

Surviving are a son Joseph (Christine) Broccardo, III of Palmer, IL 2 daughters Linda (Companion Roy Wilbur) Broccardo of Kincaid, IL Jean Marie Marron-Beebe of Champaign, IL., grandchildren Ann (Greg) Lupton of Palmer, IL Jennifer (Darrell) Broccardo-Lupo of Dallas TX., Colleen Beebe of Champaign, IL Roy Wilbur, Jr. of Taylorville, IL Brian (Chrissy) Wilbur of Tovey, IL Linda (Lee) Scott of Bulpitt, IL great-grandchildren Sean, Brandon and Nathan Scott, Hannah and Claire Lupton, Alexander and Cassandra Lupo.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 am Friday, March 7, 2014 in St. Rita's Catholic Church. Fr. Alan Hunter will officiated. Burial followed in Harper's Ferry Cemetery, Palmer, IL. Visitation for Mrs. Broccardo was held from 9 to 11 am Friday at St. Rita's. Masterson Funeral Home in Kincaid is handling arrangements.

Memorials in memory of Mrs. Broccardo may be made to St. Rita's Catholic Church Roof Fund.
