Mrs. Anna L. Herides, age 96, of Glendale Hts., IL, formerly of Bulpitt, passed away at 8:37 a.m. Saturday March 1, 2014 in her daughter's home at Glendale Hts.

She was born August 22, 1917, in Bulpitt, IL, the daughter of Joseph and Barbara Balsis Miskus. She married Milo L "Jack" Herides on June 15, 1940 in Chicago, IL. He preceded her in death on October 1, 1985. Anna worked as a secretary in accounting at Vulcan Container in Hillside, IL for many years, retiring in the late 1970's. She was a member of St. Rita Catholic Church in Kincaid. She was also a member of the Taylorville Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and the Polka Lovers Club of America in Springfield, IL

She is survived by a daughter, Patricia Reikas of Glendale Hts., IL; son, George Herides of Oshkosh, WI, grandchildren, John Reikas and Shirley (Robert) Munoz of Glendale Hts., and great-grandson, Jimmy Munoz of Glendale Hts. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Her parents, her husband, brothers; Joe, Tom and Ben Miskus, sister, Barbara Kozi and three brothers preceded her in death in infancy.

A Funeral Mass was celebrated on Thursday March 6, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Rita Catholic Church at Kincaid. Fr. Alan Hunter officiated and burial followed in Calvary Cemetery at Pawnee, IL. Visitation was held on Thursday March 6, 2014 from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. at St. Rita Catholic Church in Kincaid.
