Amsey E Booker

Amsey E. Booker, 61 of Kincaid passed from this life on Thursday June 18, 2020 at St. Johns Hospital, Springfield, IL.

He was born on July 29, 1958 in Taylorville, IL, the son of Amsey D. and Helen (Cummings) Booker.  He married Jeanette Phillips in 1991 in Tovey, IL. 

Mr. Booker enjoyed working on cars, watching wrestling, collecting model diecast cars, anything to do with hotrods and spending time with his family especially with his grandson.

Surviving are Jeanette of Taylorville, IL, his four children Larry Rowden II of Kincaid, IL, Jackie Booker and Amy Booker both of Taylorville, IL, and Bradley Booker of Kincaid, IL and a grandson Trenton Murphy of Taylorville, IL and two sisters Lois Ann Booker of Kincaid, IL and Connie (Gary) Barlow of Taylorville, IL along with several nieces, and many great and great great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, two sisters and a nephew.

Cremation rites have been accorded with a memorial service planned for Saturday June, 27th, 2020 at Taylorville Lake. The family can be contacted for the exact location.
