Alan Ray Pruett

Mr. Alan R. Pruett, 68, of Pawnee, IL passed from this life at 1:47 A.M. on Sunday, November 23, 2025, at home surrounded by loving family.

He was born in Wood River, IL on June 10, 1957, the son of Virgil and Clara (Haufe) Pruett.  Alan married Denise Surprenant on October 11, 2008, in Pawnee, IL. 

Mr. Pruett lived a full life.  He enjoyed having fun and especially all the time he was able to spend with his family and friends.  Alan proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1975 to 1979.

Surviving are his wife Denise Surprenant of Pawnee, IL son Justin Pruett and his wife Lacy Denney of Tovey, IL daughter Danielle Campbell of Springfield, IL a granddaughter Paisley Pruett of Tovey, IL 3 siblings Tom (wife Pat) Pruett of Springfield, IL Bonnie Mundy of Alton, IL Kevin (wife Gaye) Pruett of Rosewood Heights, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Kyle Pruett and a brother Richard Pruett.

A memorial gathering will be held from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Masterson Funeral Home in Kincaid, IL.  Alan’s service will close with a prayer and a chance to share a memory.
