Ronald D. Bucshon

Mr. Ronald D. Bucshon, 83, of Kincaid, IL passed peacefully from this life at 11:30 a.m. Sunday, January 6, 2019 at home.

He was born in Kincaid, IL January 31, 1935 the son of Frank and Gladys E. (Smith) Bucshon.  Ronnie married Barbara J. Burke on May 6, 1961 at the First United Methodist Church in Taylorville, IL and they shared 57 wonderful years together.

Mr. Bucshon was a member of the Midland United Methodist Church, Kincaid.  He graduated from Kincaid High School class of 1954.  Ronald served in the U.S. Navy at the end of the Korean War.  He worked 37 years at Peabody Mine #10 near Pawnee retiring in 1992.  Ronald was a member of U.M.W.A. Local  #9819 and was also an accomplished wood worker.

Surviving are his wife Barbara J. Bucshon of Kincaid, IL two sons Dr. Larry and his wife Dr. Kathryn Bucshon of Evansville, IN and Douglas and his wife Princess Bucshon of O’Fallon, IL along with 6 grandchildren a sister Sherry Bucshon of Springfield, IL and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and 2 brothers Larry in 1950 and Gerald in 2015.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, January 11, 2019 at Masterson Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Kincaid, IL.  Pastor Steve Smith will officiate.  Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery, Taylorville, IL with Military Honors by the U. S. Navy.  Visitation for Mr. Ronald D. Bucshon will be held from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M. Friday, Jan. 11, at Masterson’s in Kincaid.
