Mrs. Doris B. (Crabtree) Mills

Mrs. Doris B. Mills, 101, of Taylorville, IL formerly of Kincaid, IL passed from this life at 10:58 a.m. Monday, September 10, 2018 in Taylorville Care Center, Taylorville, IL.

She was born in Bolivar, TN October 6, 1916 the daughter of Wesley and Bertha Ellen (Upton) Crabtree. 

Doris was of the Presbyterian Faith.   She worked for more than 14 years at the Illinois Secretary of State’s Office in Springfield, IL retiring January 1, 1980.  Doris married Lyle W. Mills in 1934 in Taylorville, IL and they divorced in 1938.  She then married Johnathon Paul Jones in 1938 in Valparaiso, IN and he preceded her in death in 1974.  Doris and Lyle W. Mills were again married in 1985 in Kincaid, IL and he preceded her in death April 15, 1992.

Surviving are: a daughter Darlene (George) White of Beecher, IL., 2 sons Paul D. (Shirley) Jones of Cool, CA., and Jaime D. (Nancy) Jones of Antioch, CA., along with 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands Lyle Mills and Johnathon Paul Jones, 2 grandchildren Paul D. Jones Jr., and William P. Jones.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, September 17, 2018 in Masterson Funeral Home, Kincaid, IL.  Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery, Taylorville, IL.  Visitation for Mrs. Mills will be held for one hour before her service at Masterson Funeral Home.
